Make sure the cooling fans are running when the AC is on. If the AC head pressure stays high the engine will respond with an increase in idle to compensate.

It's still CAN BUS on that model. It may not read it because it's off line on the BUS.? Pull all of the fuses in the TIPM and look at them. Also check for broken wires behind the front wheel well...

The problem with the intermittent fluctuation is, you can really never be sure which level unit it is. Probably a good idea to just do both pumps whenever it gets so you can tolerate it anymore....

You have a problem with the interior BUS network. Probably a wire rubbing somewhere. There's no way you're going to be able to diagnose or fix it yourself. They're just too complicated now.
