Default car won't start.. narrowed down problem but stuck

Tried starting my car and it would run for a couple seconds then turn off.. after a couple tries the car won't even start. I kno this indicates a security system but The problem is that I kno it is not a sentry key security system.. is there a way to look up my vin to see what security system I have? Also a computer cannot read the bcm saying it doesn't exist, is this a security feature from the system that disables the bcm after trying to start it so many times? Or is my bcm bad and that is why the security won't let me start my car.

Thank you.. but its not the distributor. Car won't even try to start plus tgere is a coil pack no distributor. Wen I try to hook the computer up to bcm it says it doesn't exist so I'm assuming I need a new bcm

unless u gave me the wrong vin its a distributor not a coil pack that would be for a 4cyl not v6 and your little scanner does not have the ability to talk to a BCM only PCM
Will it turn over just no spark?
