Before you buy what's called a "cold air intake", look carefully at your present setup. The actual place where my Sebring draws air in the factory confguration is down in the wheel well. The "cold air intakes" on the market replace that with a unit that draws air from a spot in the engine compartment right behind the radiator. If I were a betting person, I'd bet that the factory setup gets colder air. Also, the filter element of the factory unit is noticeably larger than the aftermarket unit. That can only mean the the aftermarket unit is either more restricted or less effective in filtering.

I find myself agreeing with dcotter 0579. The Chrysler setup is efficient (I had a 3.2 Concorde and looked at the same design for it). After taking a $259 cold air system and comparing it with the Concorde setup, I could see that any increase in mileage or power would be minimal and not worth the investment. Be satisfied with the attractive looks and not the power. Incidentally, my new 300 Limited is a 40 percent improvement in in-town mileage over the Concorde.
