What is the fix for P0456?

The code is for a small evap leak. Things to check would be the vaccuum lines for the evap system small cracks in them can cause problems. I would check all of these and see if the problem is gone. It will not be a gas cap in this case. Gas cap would set a large or medium leak.

I was quoted $150 to $300 with no guarantee!

Could still be a gas cap. Inspect it at least. If you've ruled everything else out, try replacing it.
