Arrow Perform Service!...

I have serviced my car with Mobil 1 0w-40 oil and a MANN filter change. The over head display thingy says "Perform Service" is there a way to re-set this without taking into the main stealer please. My car is a 56 plate (2007 model year) 2.8L XS oil heavy oil burner.

While you're waiting for somebody to chime in with the procedure, I can put your mind at rest by saying 'yes' you can easily do it. I've done it a few times on mine but I just can't remember how. I seem to think I just kept pushing buttons on the display until it re-set.

I'm thinking when PERFORM SERVICE is up, just press reset, same as you would to reset the MPG etc.

You can set your perform service warning to whatever you want as well, mines is at 6000.

Well I tried the reset thing guys! And I'm afraid that doesn't work. It looks like its set for service every 3000mls. Any ideas?

Must be different overhead computers (just checked ebay, they don't seem to be).

Mines was on over 3000 miles to next service, I held in RESET for around 3-5 seconds and it reset to 6500.

When the service interval is shown, pressing STEP cycles through the service length options.

I will have a go at that when the Mrs gets back with the car. Does this work simply on counting doen to miles to the next service you set? Or does is analyse the condition of the engine oil to let when to service? I had a VW Polo snd a Avensis that use to work that way...

I'm suspecting now that the ignition has to be either 'ON' with engine running or 'OFF' in the Accessory position.

Edit: I've definately done it before on my current 2007 and several times on my previous GV which was a 2004 model.

If I remember you have to change the service interval reset then put it back to the interval you require. I think that it may even be in the standard chrysler owners manual.
