93 LeBaron Cooling Fans

I'm having a problem with my LeBaron's ECM triggering the relay for the cooling fan. The A/C's circuit work's properly turning on the fan when operating in A/C mode so no problem there. Adding a temp swith like the GM type to trigger the relay would solve the problem of having to change out the ECM. My question: Has anyone added a temp switch in the cooling system or any other location of the vehicle to trigger the fan relay? Thank's
