01 Intrepid Overhead Console?
Hey,
I just bought an 01 Intrepid ES. It has all the fantastically indulgent bells and whistles one could possibly request in a vehicle (which is new and pretty neat to me). Power windows... no prob. Power sunroof... I get it. Tape deck... old technology, but I think I remember how to work it (where's my Slippery When Wet cassette?).
My problem is this: I have no manual and no idea how to work the compass in the overhead console. What are those buttons? What can this thing do? I know this device is gonna complete me if only I can learn it's full function.
Anyone?

I guess it is a pretty unglamorous thread... some n00b can't use the electronics. Really more of a question for... oh, I don't know... some OTHER forum.
"Where's your manual?" you may say... "Look it up on the interweb," you might comment. Well I didn't get one and exhaustive searches have shown me that it's called an OTIS and I can program the middle three buttons to operate certain infrared-activated devices. That's all I've got. Good to know but it's not the whole story.
Kind of a bummer that no one has even a point of reference here. I'll just press the buttons till I figure it out, I suppose.
