1994 Concorde replacing AC compressor
I have a 1994 concorde in which I have just replaced the AC compressor (R134a type). How much PAG oil do I need to add to the compressor? Is there another way of evactuaing the air/moisture out of the system other than having the mechanic shop do it or buying/renting the vacuum pump & guagues?
Thanks for your replies

usually you put in as much as you took out but if thats not possable then 2 oz is the max you should put in it but it should say on the a/c decal as well as how much froen as well.
as far as evac hmm not sure nobody i know has been able to do it but some small shops do it pretty cheap try them before renting make sure you call around..

In my Haynes Repair Manual it says the capacity is 28 oz. Double check with a dealer, if you have a 5-star dealer, and are a true 5-star, then they should tell you over the phone. Also, if you do any of your own work on your car, a Haynes repair manual is the best thing to have. I have repaired so many things when I had my 94 by myself, it ran like the day it was new, even after I slammed into the back of someone (insurance totaled it out cause of age, but I drove it on and off the tow truck.) I now have one for my 01 concorde and my 03 sebring conv.
