Default 1994 LHS Trans Problem

'94 LHS with only 79,700 miles has trans problem. Wife was on interstate when she said "it was like someone put it in neutral". She got to the side, and turned the car off. She restarted and was able to "limp" home, having only, what I believe is 2nd gear. Thats where it is now. 2nd gear and reverse only. Tried disconnecting the battery for three days while I was at work. Same thing. (some one suggested I do that to reset the computer) Showed no signs of trouble prior. I bought this car in sept for $1000, and don,t want to sink another thousand in it, but cant stand the thought of loosing the money I invested either.

Any suggestions?? Fluid level is good and fluid does not have any funky smell on the dip stick. Thanks.

Had a local garage change both sensors, but they said its internal?? HELP!
