Default 1999 300m replaced starter, still won't start.

For a while I had been getting that single click when trying to start my 1999 300m and after being advised that it was the contacts on the starter I put a new starter in. Now when I try starting the car I just get the spinning of the bendix but it isn't engaging the flywheel. This thing was a huge pain to put in, so I wouldn't be surprised if something is loose but where should I be looking?

I would have changed the ignition module first. Same symptom as the starter and much much easier to change. I've changed too many starters when that wasn't the problem.

Ignition switch ( module ) I've changed many. 98-04 LHs all had them. Part# 05014176aa. Much cheaper then a starter.
