Default 2000 Chrysler LHS Collant Leak

My engine has been overheating/leaking coolant and I am trying to find what might be the cause. The car is leaking out of the front I am sure, and its pretty much right in the middle. When the system is pressurized it will leak out of the front, but the hose going to the radiator can be squeezed shut, rather than being stiff. With the cap off the coolant reservoir it will not leak and the engine does not overheat. It is not smoking, which I'm told would be the head gasket, but its overheating, even driving short distances.

what year is it? 3.2 or 3.5 if its one of those years more than likely its the water pump or head gasket well maybe due to them being right in the middle of the motor in the front of it.

The car is a 2000 (yr) LHS. It has a 3.5 engine. I'm pretty sure its not the head gasket as people tell me that it would be leaking out of the back part of the engine and it would start smoking immediately after the engine was turned on and warming up, which it is not.
But any info on coolant problems with my car that might be specific to the year/engine would be helpful .

so i know this was a dead thread but i couldn't find an answer to this anywhere. took me a bit to figure it out. i had the same problem.

the thermistate housing has a small rubber hose on it i had a pin hole leak. it would spray on the exauhst or run down another line down to my radiator. 5 doller fix and people get rid o there cars cause it can look like a head gastket. allthough a compresssion test would tell you it's not the head gasket.

so i hope that helps some people out there in any case
