I have a 2000 LHS with the in dash 4 disc cd changer which recently broke. I purchased a new unit but was wondering if someone could give me some insight on how to get the dash apart before I went ahead and broke anything trying it blind.

I got it without breaking anything. For anyone else doing a search and needs this information...

It is just a series of clips, carefull pry the panel around the radio, climate control and cd player away from the dash. I started at the top and worked my way down.
