2001 LHS noise
When making a left or right turn, for example from a stop sign, there is a grinding noise proportional to front wheel rotation. The dealer replaced the front rotors and pads and serviced the calipers.
This noise is still there and it is less noriceable when it is raining?
When I drive at highway speeds the car is smooth and there is no noise or pull to the side?
Any suggestions or maybe someone else had the same problem?

RE: 2001 LHS noise
Sounds like a CVJ (costant velocity joint). If you take notice to which side the noise is coming from you should inspect that axle. There is a flexible rubber boot that seals the joint (keeps dirt out and grease in) and these boots dry rot and tear over time letting the grease out and the dirt in. There are two boots to inspect: one is close the transmission and the other is closer to the wheel.
Good luck finding the problem and getting it fixed.

RE: 2001 LHS noise
Thanks for the input, but I found out how to fix it.
An old Chrysler mechanic diagnosed it as coming from the rear brakes (now, to me, the sound came from the front, but he drove with me and identified it as coming from the rear).
He replaced the rear rotors and pads and cleaned the calipers which solved this problem. I no longer hear the grinding noise!
Hope this helps anyone else who also has this problem.
