got the car off my brother he tried to start it without the key he said it would start then shut off he tried to start if a couple time then it quit turning over got the key now but still wont turn over the red light on the dash stays on the starter and battery are good i heard if you tried to stall them without the key more then 6 times it will lockout the starter or fry the computer anyone know what the problem would be

 

Fry the computer no but lock out the SKIM yes. There is a way to "unlock" it just not sure of the process. Search over at di.net or LH forums bet you find the answer there

 

Turn the key on for 1 hour put a battery charger on it while doing this. Now if u dont have the right key wont do u any good any way. Second if it needs to be fixed dealer only option that IM aware of.
