Default 2004 Concorde Issues

Alright

My mom about a year ago bought a 2004 Chrysler Concorde.

About 2 months in, she said the car bucked going down the road and the check engine light came on.

Then about a month ago, she was driving down the highway and the car just turned off.

The car has 51,000 miles and my mother babys it.

The dealership has been absolutely no help at all. Absolute nightmare.

The following error codes have been read on it.

P0172 - bank 1 sensor too rich
P0174 - o2 sensor
P0175 - bank 2 sensor too rich
P0138 - o2 system - voltage too high
P0158 - bank 2 - system high voltage
P0344 - Camshaft position sensor voltage circuit
P0340 - Voltage too high

I know that you cannot diagnose a car over the internet, I;m just kind of looking for a jumping off point or a couple different scenarios.

Thank you.

Default 2004 concorde

Just bought one 4 weeks ago with engine light on with many of the same codes so after much bs i found it to be a vacum leak!! At the top rear center of motor there is a 4" hose that goes to the pvc valve that is approx 3/4 at one end and 1/2 at the other end. I went to a junk yard and pulled a factory hose off an 2000 intrepid. still leaked untill i put clamps on each end, cleared codes and 2 days later light went off. If u want to clear codes yourself,, turn key on then off without start and on third time leave on untill light flashes. it did have to run awhile to fully pull the total vacum it needs. Good luck

maybe the voltage regulator inside the cars computer box is worn out/bad and letting too much electricity out.
are the lights unusually bright?

i would start with the camshaft sensor, that should allow the car to run and function again.

also check the o2 sensors wires to make sure there isnt any exposed copper.

the voltage being too high 'logically' would be the o2 sensor being bad - the computer's voltage regulator gone bad - the computer's 'settings' incorrect and therefore needs flashed for the proper settings.

My 02 Concorde Limited did a similar thing a couple months ago. I was driving home and as I started to accelerate just a little bit the car started to shake violently and was starting to stall while I was going 70 mph. I let off the gas and managed to keep moving. I was curious so I exited the hwy and tested it again-- During any acceleration the engine would start to stall. I had the code read and it came back as a fault O2 sensor and cam shaft sensor. I just replace the cam sensor and the problem went away--- and I also didn't need to replace the O2 sensor either.

I have had similar codes with my O4 for 2 years. Changes to O2 sensors a couple times, took things apart & cleaned them, changed a couple vacuum hoses, still the codes. I then read an article on Chryslers, that the MAP Sensor, controls a major portion of the fuel / air mix and can cause other sensor codes to appear, while not showing a MAP sensor code. I changed this very easy to change sensor and no more problems.

Just an FYI I did have the car into the dealership because it was covers under emmisions 75K/mi and they were grasping at straws and never fixed it. Hope this helps
