I just replaced the multi ignition switch o my 89 New York and the Hynes manual say to remove upper and lower steering column covers 2 screws.
The problem is y New Yorker don't have any screws and the cover is only one piece cover.
I had to drop the column an was able to replace the switch but then the plastic clip that hold the dimer switch rod at the turn signal switch drooped off and no matter how i try to install it im unsuccessful.
Can anybody help me with this problem.

 

I removed the steering wheel and was able to hook up the rod clip.
