'99 Concorde LXi. Shop refuses to fix brake line
1999 Chrysler Concorde LXi. Brake line at rt.front wheel busted after driving over pothole on edge of pavement.
Brakes very quicky became mushy. Brake light on dash is on continuously.
However, local repair shop of good repute REFUSES to repair the brake line, because they "can't reflash the module". It's a "safety issue" for them.
I assume they mean the ABS module. But the ABS warning light on the dash is not on. It flashes on when car is started, but goes away with rest of the warning lights (except of course the brake warning light).
That means the ABS module checks out OK, right?
Anyway, NO ONE can reflash that module or any other of my car's modules. Car is 24 years old. Chrysler dealer shops don't have updated software for it.
What's the deal with these guys?

the abs would have nothing to do with a busted brake line take it to a different shop your brakes are hydraulic. The abs just uses a pump to make them pulse quickly when one or more wheel is spinning faster or slower then them others like when your spinning out on wet or show. Most people never in there cars life actually use the abs system just like an air bag its there but does not get used,
