ok first of all my 3.5 has broken a valve spring. So during the tear down i get to taking off the crank pulley and no amount of prying will pull it off. Is there a trick to removing this that I dont know? Ive done several timing belts and have never had this type of problem before.

 

Crankshaft dampener puller kit. 3 claws that hook on the center flat sections and has a set of 3 rods that fit inside the 18 MM crankshaft bolt. No amount of pulling is going to get it off. If you pry it or attempt to you will damage the crankshaft. Any auto parts chains will lend you the kit for free.
