Default Changing bcm

Ok, My first is: If i change the BCM on my" M" for a new ,i know that i had to use a DRB III to enable the VTSS in order to start the car , ofcourse if the BCM´s are the same module year and same part number , but if i get one used , could i have problems with the VIN too?

yep and also if the used one had an alarm or not this would cause your car not to start.

But is possible use one used ? in the service Manual only mention to enable the VTSS , do not mention VIN for the BCM , but I read somehere that the BCM learn it self the VIN .

Thumbs up BCM-changed

Hi, again , news : I got one used BCM from a 2001 300M -USA , there are some diferences between this 2001 module and mine previous year 2000 module , but today i changed the modules , and changed some wires to , in the switchs to match with mine , some time ago i changed the OTIS to EVIC with TPMS , but not all the options worked ,or worked bad and changed the MHSMM to , got tilt mirrors on reverse but lost easy exit sit, well today after this wires changes , and plug the battery again , was the moment , , first ,tested ligths, wipers,AC,memory , and guess what ? it´s all working , and all option with grafics on the EVIC to , get the easy sit again ,and started the motor and did not stalled ,only the remote radio switchs do not work yet, and i have to get new fobs to the RKE , but my car have only 22000 Km on it , and with this "new used BCM" displays 223 000Km , can this be changed with the DRB III tool ? and for this 2001 RKE i have do you know what is the right part number of the key fobs?
Thanks

no the miles cant be changed that is why I dont use used BCM because of that and now that U have changed from what U had as far as part numbers your old fobs wont work I bet. A dealer might be able to tell u based off the part number of the new bcm what fobs might work.

News, wired the remote radio switchs to the clockspring , and now the radio can be controled by them , and found a tool to reprogram the rigth KMs on the BCM to , only the ambient temp. sensor is not working so well , is displaying wrong temp , the wires were changed from the BCM to the PCM from 2000 to 2001 , when i have time, will change them to , maybe work, what do you think about?
Thanks
