I have a 2004 Concorde LHS with a 3.5 and automatic trans, the car has 125k miles, lately after start up and warm up when the vehicle is backed out of the driveway reverse works fine after shifting into drive the car will not move ( not in any of the drive ranges).

If I shut the car off wait ten seconds and then restart it , no problem, I can drive all day.

The most recent event the car drove forward about 40 feet then again no power to the wheels while in drive, again stop shift to park shut off the motor wait ten seconds then restart no problem the rest of the day

Any help would be much appreciated before I take it to the dealer.
