2 studs with lock washers?
I have a 2000 Concorde LXi that has a front wheel with 2 missing lug nuts. The 2 studs that don't have lug nuts have lock washers(?) on the studs. Are they there to substitute for the 2 missing lug nuts? I have 2 new replacement lug nuts but wonder if i should remove the 2 washers from those 2 studs before installing the 2 new lug nuts. Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

 

Those two “washers” only job is to prevent the brake rotor from falling out of place as the car goes down the assembly line.
Hard to believe they are still on the car after all these years.
You can leave them on or take them off, your choice.
