I am in the process of putting a 2005 3.5L into a 2003 300m. I have everything swapped over but the oil pan on the 2005 doesn't have enough clearance for the front crossmember. Looking on the side of the engine there is a spot where the 2003 oil filter is with a plug in it. Can I remove the plug thread in the oil filter nipple and plug off the 2005 oil filter location. I have already moved the oil pressure sensor to the side. My question is how will the oil get back to the pan do I have to drill any holes.
