Okay hello everyone. I have a 99 chrysler concorde lxi with the 3.2 in it. Could someone tell me where the pcv valave is and is there 1 or 2. My boyfriend just took the valve cover gaskets off and taking the intake off as well. Hes worked on alot of vehicles but not any chryslers. In the back of the engine one on each side he was thinking it was 2 but im only seeing online 1. Posted a picture. Thank you!
the items circled are not PCV that are for the EGR they go straight to the back of the intake manifold you will see two large holes. I would also suggest replacing the orings that go on them as they cause alot of air leaks when the old ones are put back on.
according to what I'm reading there's only one egr valve and its on the passenger side. am I just misunderstanding something? with that being said it has a stalling problem from time to time and we were thinking it could be the fuel pump and now I'm wondering if it could be the egr. would it be better to try to clean it first or just go ahead and fork over the money to replace it? with him thinking those were pcv he wanted to go ahead and replace them bc he said they looked pretty gunked up. but if one was an EGR valve and could possibly cause the stalling problem then I'd like to go ahead and replace that or clean it and the hose since he has it opened to replace valve cover gaskets. most of the parts on this car are original as well and it has 130,000 miles on it. thank you for your time!
