Default What does this mean?

Hello all....I am new to the forum and look forward to what I can do with my new baby. Just got a 2001 Chrysler Concorde Lxi in great condition with only 60,000 mi on it. I need the brakes bled before I drive it but why is the check engine light on? I've done the "Key Dance" and here are the results:

Here are the codes.......P0300, P0442, P0455.....What do they mean? I'm almost afraid of the results....

*UPDATE*

P0300 Engine Misfire Detected

P0442 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Small Leak Detected (often this is a loose or bad gas cap!)

P0455 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Leak Detected

OK...how bad could these be? I did a carfax check....no issues and these are the only codes that show up. I know the braked need to be bled......so at 60,300 miles this was a steal for what I paid for it. How much do do you think these repairs will run me? Also, I checked the gas cap and that is not the issue, the engine light still stays on. When I bought the car the guy told me the engine light will go off once I bleed the brakes is that accurate?

all 3 codes above are for the engine and not the brakes
Possible tune up and the others are evap leaks cracks in rubber lines gas cap that sorta stuff.

Default Thanks

That means I won't have to spend a boat load of money on it. For a 2001 with only 61,000 milies on it, I pretty much got it for a song...Thanks appreciate it. Me and a friend need to bleed the brakes and then I need to change the spark plugs but I might just pay for a tune up...

Thanks for all the assistance. I am taking her to the mechanic tomorrow. Won't run me too much...under $150. This way I know the work will be done correctly and I can rest at ease when driving it. After this I can start doing some things on my own. Thanks for all your assistance, it helped me explain to my mechanic what's going on as opposed to it being the other way around. Us Kevin's need to stick together...we are a rare breed...LOL.
