Cruise Nights at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum Welcome Cruisers With All Makes and Models

Auburn Hills, Mich., Apr 3, 2006 -
Take one part exuberant enthusiasts, add the lovely landscape of an automotive gem and blend in summer's balmy breezes and it's Cruise Nights at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills.

The Museum is welcoming cruisers with all makes and models 6 – 9 p.m. Thursdays June 8 and 29, July 13 and 27 and Aug. 10 and 24.

Located on the DaimlerChrysler complex, Cruise Nights at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum will offer:

Spacious parking for hundreds of vehicles with space for proud owners to kick back and relax
A disc jockey adding a musical flair to the festivities
Food and beverages for purchase
Cruisers will also receive free admission to the Walter P. Chrysler Museum and its special exhibition, Hot Rods and Cool Mods, a collection of more than two dozen exquisitely crafted, exotic vehicles that showcase the past, present and future of the customization hobby.

Cruisers can visit the Museum Store for hard-to-find collectibles including scale vehicle models, clothing, books, posters, toys, DVDs and more. The store also showcases the Chrysler Design Gallery, an exclusive line of detailed models replicating vehicles in the Museum collection and art prints and vehicle sculptures by the Chrysler Group Design Office.

On Thursday, July 13, the WCSX Classic Rock Cruisers Car Club will join Cruise Nights at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum. Highlights of the evening include an appearance by a WCSX air personality and WCSX Show and Shine awards as well as other station prizes. The JJ & Lynne Stone Soup Roadrunner will be on display.

The Walter P. Chrysler Museum is located approximately 30 miles north of downtown Detroit. From I-75, take exit 78 (Chrysler Drive) and follow the Museum signs to the intersection of Featherstone and Squirrel roads, at the southeast corner of the complex.
