Default 01 trans won't shift

It seem like it would not work right when it was cold now it seems like it goes direct into 2nd gear then it stays there some times it will shift like new and then the next time driven it won't shift right again rev work's fine will spin tires in rev any thoughts?

What have you checked? Fluid, leaks, pressure test, codes?

There are many ways to diagnose tranmission problems. You'll need to avail yourself of them.

That's just a general code telling you that there are problems with the transmission that can be read with a code reader that is capable of going deeper than the usual OBD 2 scanner. You're going to have to have some higher level equipment scan your codes.

Have you at least checked the fluid?

sorry took so long yes have checked fluid shifted fine for two days then back to limpin mode what other kind of code reader is needed?
