How old is the battery in the remote?

i have never had it replaced and I have had to car for about 4 1/2 years.

Try replacing the battery. It's definitely a do-it-yourself chore. There are instructions in the owners manual, but basically, it's a matter of prying the thing apart and putting in a new battery.

I have the same problem with doors that do not lock, but unlock, on my 2009 Sebring. Has anyone ever solved this problem?

Yes.... I have the same exact problem. Not sure what my first move is. Maybe I'll try a switch first. I've seen them for around $20 bucks
