04 Sebring rabbit hole

trying to help a friend with his 04 Sebring convertible 2.7. He has had it many places and replaced loads of parts. 1st it blew the #4 plug. Hole was tapped new plugs, #4 coil and injector replaced. New valve cover and intake gaskets. After that car died randomly throwing cam and Crank sensor codes so both were replaced. Then when the car was warm turned on defrost to have the car would die. The car would also die when coming to a stop. No fault codes. Battery and alternator were replaced. Car now does not die but when stopping, holding windo switches to long, or heavy load the engine bogs down.

Hows the voltage? You should be getting 12 volts. Anything less and you'll have problems with who knows what.

The car stalls when defroster turned on (The A/C kicks in when defroster is turned on) or when an excessive electrical load is called for. Sounds like the car won't idle properly when some additional load is placed on the engine at idle. That is supposed to be taken care of by the computer acting through the idle air control, which should kick up the idle a little when there's an extra load. Check the Idle Air Control.

Id have the alternator tested, I had to take it out for an accurate reading. It was bad and had to be replaced. Car runs great now.

If maintained well yes, if not then no. I bought mine knowing how much it would be to fix the issues and it worked out. Any good car will run like crap if the previous owner didnt maintain it right.
