Default 06 transaxle in 03

My daughter's 03 2.7 liter shot craps and I got an 06 2.7 engine and transaxle cheap. I have done the necessary changes to the 06 engine: changed the camshaft gear, the flywheel, sensors and wiring harnass, etc. Anything else? My real question is if the 06 transaxle a direct replacement for the 03. I can reuse the 03, but I would like to get the new motor and transaxle ready for install before I drop(pull) the 03 engine and transaxle. I really can't find any information.-thanks

If the part number is the same, it'll work.
