Have 08 Sebring 2.4l auto, Australian spec. Vehicle pings badly on very light throttle. No codes held in computer and live data shows minimal timing advance when this occurs. Knock sensor has been replace and a "Carbon Clean" carried out to remove carbon from valves, combustion chambers and tops of pistons. None of this has made any difference. Any ideas please.

 

is the problem happening at full running temp,if so it is possible the engine might be running too hot.

 

Engine temperature is normal. Pinging not as pronounced when cold. Cold here is 18 centigrade.
