1999 Sebring LXi Engine Dies
Try changing the fuel filter. A clogged fuel filter can cause a high speed stall. After a minute, enough fuel can trickle through to allow a re-start. That happened to me once driving my dad's 1960 Dodge on the expressway.
So, after many nights fighting with this stupid car, I finally took it to a garage. The mechanic found out the problem. Bad crank sensor. It works like a charm. So if anybody else has this problem, this might be the problem. The mechanic fixed that and a wheel bearing for about $300.
