2.7L engine swap; 2001 sebring with a 2004's. Question
My mechanic just put a 2004 2.7l engine in my 2001 sebring, replacing my old 2.7l "blown" engine. No surprise, it didn't work. After doing research on here, I came across this post to fix it:
1. Use the flywheel from the 01 engine. 01 and 04 flywheels have different slot patterns for the crank sensor.
2. Use the cam pulley fixed to the cam gear (bank close the bumper) from the 01. The pulley on the 04 engine have different slots for the cam sensor.
Is this all that needs to be done? I don't know a whole lot about cars, so I want to be sure. If this has already been answered, could you post the link?
Thanks!
