Default 2001 Convertible top

Aside from some other minor problems which I will be solving with epoxy, the cable running along the passenger side is not staying where it is supposed to. This causes the white underside of the canvas to stick out past the top of the quarter window. I think (but cannot be certain) that this can be solved by securing a strip of fabric to the convertible frame. It sort of looks like it is supposed to be adhered there, but has come undone. However, the other side isn't attached either, so I'm not certain. Anyone out there know for certain? I don't want to make an irreversible "repair" if it isn't supposed to be that way.

Thanks
MRR
