Default 2002 Sebring rough idle after trans replacement

Have 2002 sebring sedan 2.4l. few months ago had problem with missfiring, dealer replaced plugs and wires and problem persisted. I replaced fuel injectors and coil pack and problem persisted, one day after battery was drained and recharged everything worked wonderfully. 2 days later the transmission went. replaced with reman, and while I was at it did the timing belt, water pump, and timing belt tensioner. put everything back together trans working fine now, but enging rough idling. mechanic says timing is ok. was running lean, replaced intake manifold gaskets and no change except is now running rich. Engine computer has been replaced with reman.

A frequent cause of a rough idle is a vacuum leak. Following major work like pulling the transmission, it's easy to overlook a missing, detached or cracked vacuum hose.

Check the vacuum reservoir. It's located below the left headlight, under the battery. Check the lines running to it also.

The problem ended up being the idle control module and then found the timeing to be off. also needed to replaced transmission computer. car runs fine now. Thanks for the reply's.
