Default 2004 Sebring Oil Pressure Switch

My wife drives a 2004 Sebring with the 2.7. Oil Pressure light flickers at idle, going to change the oil pressure switch first, hopefully that's the problem. After finally locating the switch (it was very easy in my lancer) I can not see it well enough to figure out what socket is needed to get it off. The new one I purchased takes a 1 1/16" 12 point deep socket, but that was too large for the stock one. I'm thinking it could be a 1" or possibly a 26mm? Not sure. Anyone changed this and have an answer? Or any suggestions?

There's a heat shield bolted over the sender. It's held in place by three bolts. Remove that and you'll have a much easier access to the sender. If I recall, there's a "how to" with pictures and discussion of the issue at the Chrysler Sebring Convertible Club board.
