this is my 1st car. bought it from a private seller last month. the horn doesnt work and the wipers do not work. family looked at it and we suspect it is the motor on the wiper. the wiper fluid switch works fine but nothing else. there is also a tick sound when you start the wipers i found out. power to the motor adapter plug. any ideas on if its only the motor or what? horn would be nice but not need atm. really needing this wiper motor problem taken care of plese and thanks.

 

Wiper problem could be the motor if you've got power to the wire leading to the motor. Spend a few bucks on a shop manual, like a Haynes or Chilton's and read up on fixing the horn and wipers. They usually have troubleshooting procedures you can follow to narrow it down. Then you can decide whether you and your toolbox are up to the job of fixing it. Even if you decide to hire it done, you'll be able to talk knowledgeably with the technician.
