DCOTTER, Oil Pressure Switch.
Dumb question!
I bought an Oil Pressure Switch from Advance Auto Parts. When I search for the How To, to replace mine, I see references to, Oil Pressure Sensor, Oil Pressure Sending Unit and Oil Pressure Switch. I have not received my Haynes yet and it's been raining, so I haven't gotten under the car yet. The unit I have looks similar to a Spark Plug. Are all of these references to the SAME unit? Thanks. |
There's only one. It's on the back side of the engine, covered by a shield which is held in place by three bolts.

New problem.
I was driving down the Interstate yesterday, about 65 miles from home, when the red battery light came on and the Dash lights started flashing. I immediately turned around and headed for home. I made it without incident, but the problem continues; as soon as I drive, the trouble re-appears. I have 13+ volts coming from the Alternator and the same at the battery. I haven't driven it and I have NO idea what the trouble could be. Any suggestions? Thanks, Don |
red battery light came on that means the alternator is not charging up the battery. so A belt broke or alternator is bad.
