Default 2008 conv top stuck

okay...this seems to be a common problem

top has always worked fine. replaced the top with a new one. cycled the top up and down a number of times and or jogged its position a number of times to facilitate top installation. everything was working fine. a couple of times it would not move , but seemed to fix itself. had a problem with the aluminum seal retainers interfering, but i fixed that. right now the top is almost in the full upright position. about 2 more inches to go. latches open ready to receive the top.the rear deck is not quite in the full tilted back position and the tonneau deck has not retracted. i had i think, a low battery from all the cycling, so charged the battery. turn on the ign and push the rocker switch to raise the top fully and get a top fail. nothing moves. all windows and all else work fine. when the switch is activated, i do not hear the pump run.
help!!!!! my wife needs her car

Hi metalman3,
I'm sorry to hear about this experience, but I'm glad it is working again. Please let me know if you run into any issues again!

It probably started working because a limit switch somewhere got tripped by the manual cycling. Like everything else in the car, it's got a computer controlling it.
