I have noticed recently that there is a red light in the middle of my dash that blinks along with a yellow/orange lightning bolt symbol at the bottom of the dash. I understand that the yellow/orange symbol is a warning symbol and the red light is my anti-theft light. I have not changed keys and nothing has happened as far as the car turning off or anything, so I am curious what this might be and if it is an easy fix?

 

Check your owners manual for an explanation of all the warning lights and symbols and what they should be doing at any particular time.

 

The lightning bolt with two inverted parentheses is the Electronic throttle control light. It should come on for about three seconds after initial turn on. If it remains on then there is a problem with the drive-by-wire system.

The red dot means something is wrong with the SKIM module.
