Default 2010 2,7l V6 powersteering pump

Hi,

Can anyone help me?
I can't unmount my powersteering pump, beacause it's located so badly and I don't understand where are the mounting polts or belt tightener. Does anybody has some pictures or can anyone explain how to I unmount it?
P.S I'm changing cylinder head gaskets, is it necessary to remove the powersteering pump?

Hope You understand my question.

thx.

If you are going to pull the heads, you will want to be sure to do the job properly, especially getting the timing chain setting correct. It is worth your money to invest in a shop manual, like a Haynes manual, which can guide you through this procedure as well as many others. Sometimes you need to look through other parts of the manual to find what you need to know. There will be a whole section on changing the head gaskets, but you may need to look in the steering chapter to find out how to remove the power steering pump, and adjust the belt.

There are no adjustment bolts to tighten or loosen the PS belt. The belt has to be walked off or cut off of the pulley and walked back on using a wire tie.

Three bolts hold the pump to the engine and a bitch to get to and reinstall. Two of the bolts were easier to get at leaning over the engine and getting to them that way.

If you will send me a pm, I'll send you some scanned instructions from Alldata on belt installation and pump removal. And if you need, instructions for the head gaskets and timing chain. Good luck, you got your work cut out for yourself.

What I left out of my post above, the ps belt is a stretch to fit and self tensioning belt.

Sorry for the omission.
