Default 2011 200 intermittent start problem

About 5 months ago, got in turned key, nothing. LIghts were working but no start, no click, nothing. Go back inside, come back out 15 minutes later, starts.
3 months later, same thing.
4 days ago, in a parking lot at the grocery store, same thing, but this time it won' start. Tried for an hour, finally called a tow truck.
Guy charges the battery, it starts.
Is it just a weak battery? I am reading all these threads about people replacing starters, ground wires, switches, this and that, nothing works, same problem, Chrysler mystery start issue.
I really can't afford to be somewhere far way and have this happen again and be stuck. Any thoughts appreciated.

Is this the original battery still? How about any maint. being done besides oil changes, like when was the last time the battery cables were taken off the battery and cleaned on the battery posts cleaned also? Yeah it sits in a heck of a spot ahead of the LF tire, but like any vehicle, it needs good clean connections. Be willing to bet the guy charged it via the underhood jumping posts.
How long of stretches does the car sit unused? do you keep some electronic device plugged in in the interior...that will draw down the battery when the car is not running...a killer for an old battery.
