Default 22" rims on 05 sebring?

I have some 22" rims with new tires on my 1980 Caddi. Would it be possible that these would fit on my sebring? I believe the sebring are fwd and that is a high offset and Caddi is a rwd which can be low or med offset. Does this have a factor in the fitting? They are both 5 bolt and if the patterns were a little off I was considering adapters but I don't know if they will work or not?

The clearance in the wheel wells on the Sebring is very tight. If those tires are a half-inch bigger than the stock tires, they will not fit without rubbing on something. Offset is important, so is the diameter of the bolt pattern. Adapters are likely to change the offset.
Offset is important to keep the load properly on the wheel bearings. Incorrect offset results in a cocked load on the bearings and will shorten their life.
Your biggest issue is going to be wheel well clearance.
Try going to the tirerack.com website for more information on fitting rims.

I see. How hard is it to modify the wheel wells?

Very easy. Use a hacksaw or cutting torch. Don't worry how it'll look. Nobody will notice. They'll all be bedazzled by the wheels.

Lol. The thing is I just got new tires on those rims that were $600 and I went to the rim shop and they want 1200 for a set of rims and tires so if I can fit those things on there I will. I won't have it looking bad though, when I do something like that I make it it look nice. I've seen probably 5 of them on 22s. The major problem for me right now is finding adapters for the 05 convertible Sebring they have different bolt pattern sizing than the non convertible and it's not too common
