Default 97 convertible oil light / shocks

I have a 97 convertible 131,000 miles 2.5L engine.
The oil lightflickers just every now and again while at a stop light. Raise the RPM and the light turns off. I hade the sensor changed as a first step. My daughter told me it happened again over the weekend.

2nd question is shocks
I had at one time a 99 convertible lot less miles and the ride was smooth.
I drove this car today and every bump in the road felt hard
I had felt this in the past and while working on brakes inspected the shocks and springs visually.
Pushing down on the rear of the car it is really solid.
Should the shocks be changed?

you need to have the actual oil pressure checked with a gauge.as far as the shocks go ,have you checked the tire pressures?or even the load range of the tires?

Tire preasure OK.
New tires 2k miles ago Bridgestone 1400 lb max load.
Even before new tires the bumps were hard.

Hi, try running a 1/2 a can of SEAFOAM in the crank case. this will clean any sludge that might be affecting the oil pressure. Read the can, the other 1/2 goes in the gas tank to clean the fuel system. A lot of shops use seafoam as a diagnostic tool to rule out any dirt that causes a lot of our problems.
