Burned CDs
Hi! I've got a 2001 Chrysler Sebring Sedan and the only CDs that it will play are store bought. If I put a burned CD in, it just makes a noise like it's spinning really fast but then just gives an error. It's not an mp3 cd either, just a regular 15-20 song mix CD. I can take the same CD and put it in my stock 2006 Dodge Charger stereo and it plays fine. It will also play in my home stero system. So I know there's nothing wrong with the disc. Anyone know why this would be happening?
I'm have a similar problem with my 2008 Sebring. I have the RER package. I can play commercial CDs fine on the player, but I cannot play the CDs that I have burned myself. It will play the first few songs and then either skip or not play them at all. I also synced my music files to a portable drive and uploaded them to the HDD and I get the same behavior. Any suggestions? I'm getting rather frustrated.
Hope this helps everyone with this problem, On TSB 08-11-00 thru the 2008 models.
Some recordable compact disc media, such as CD-R and CD-RW, may not comply with the standard CD format used in automotive CD players. When these CD's are used, customers may encounter error messagers , skipping, or delaminating of the labels, which can cause an eject failure. When customers encounter these symptoms, replacing or exchanging the CD player will not address these issues.
