Hi. I have a 2000 Chrysler Sebring convertible, JXi, 2.5L, 99,250 miles.

I had an issue with the compressor not engaging last week. Tried to jump it with a wire clip at the relay but it didn't work! I've done this before on about ten of these same cars(and I only leave paper clip in the slots for a second, just to see if compressor engages). It has never NOT engaged when bypassing that relay. So I'm stuck wondering why it didn't work this time.(I wish I was a top notch electrical tech!)

With a standard test light, there's power at the transducer, if that even helps anything at all, at the purple/white wire. Nothing at the black/blue or the straight blue wire.(3 wire pigtail)

And I checked the relay slots. Theres power at slot #39 and 19, but thats with the key on and the engine NOT running, with the ac on in the car(green light on) and blower on high.

Should I check for a ground somewhere maybe? Ughhh! This is becoming troublesome, to say the least! Thanks a lot for any guidance you can give me!

 

test light at the compressor jump it see if it lights up at the compressor if not wire issues from relay to compressor if des lite up compressor issue

 

Will do that today, post results when done. Would the only wiring issue from compressor to relay be through the pcm? Thank you!
