Default Cam Position Sensor Sebring Convertible- How Many?

All - thanks in advance for the help.

I am trying to help out my uncle. He is a bit older and can't quite work his way around a car like he used to. Unfortunately, he is in California and I am in Kansas City.

His car is a 2004 Sebring Convertible, with the 2.4, which is I think a DOHC. He is getting an error code of P0340 which seems to indicate a bad Cam Shaft Position Sensor.

Since I can't be there in person, I am trying to work with an online mobile mechanic who keeps saying there is more than one Cam Shaft Sensor on that car. And they need to know which one in order to give me a quote and schedule time. They want to perform a diagnostic before doing anything, and I don't want to drop $200 on something we basically already know.

I can't find any indication that there is more than one in the online research I am doing. I found a few youtube videos, and seems like at least in 2013 there might be two, but earlier versions seem to be only one. I called my local Dodge dealer and asked them. They said they looked it up and there is only one that they see.

So, my question is, can there possibly be more than one of these sensors? And if so, how to tell which one is bad?

Any help is appreciated. Like I said, this is my uncle and I am kind of stressed until I can get his car fixed for him.

OK all - adding to my confusion here. When I go to look up these parts, I get back two results.

For example, searching for Camshaft Position Sensor on Autozone - I get two returns for this vehicle
https://www.autozone.com/engine-mana...297/233538_0_0
https://www.autozone.com/engine-mana...724/543442_0_0

If the links don't work, the first part number is Duralast SU4297 and the second is Dorman 917-724. But from the pics, these are clearly different parts with two different configurations. I get a similar return when I do the same search at Oreilly -- two very different looking parts.

What is the difference and which do I need?

The top one, Duralast, is showing a picture of a crankshaft position sensor. I would stay away from it if for no other reason the picture is wrong. The camshaft position sensor is set on the front most cam, driver's side. I would have reservations about a mechanic that does not know there is only 1 camshaft position sensor.

My opinion, get a genuine OEM/Mopar one. I have found Chrysler's are sensitive to OEM sensors.
