Convertible back window came loose
Our back window came loose. We are going to repair it ourselves after reading other posts on this site. We are trying to find out if it’s supposed to be attached on the inside and outside all the way around

It would help if you described the year of your car. We are left to assume it was a Sebring or a Chrysler 200. The design of the top has changed over the years and there was a hardtop convertible produced that was very different also.

The glass should be glued tightly to the external strip at the bottom, but no where else is it glued to the outside material. It should be glued all around to the grey material on the inside. There are various glues on the market that can glue glass to cloth material. The success of the project depends on getting the surfaces as clean as possible before gluing and following the glue instructions as closely as you can. If there is dirt on a surface, the glue will stick to the dirt, but will hold only as well as the dirt sticks to the surface. Good luck. If your project is successful, come back and brag about it so others can benefit.
If you find that it's just not working, you can buy a replacement window, separate from the top, already glued to the proper cloth material. Installation is a little tricky but a shop that specializes in convertible tops can install it for you and will do a professional job.
