Default Coolant drain 2014 3.6 engine

Hi

I have 2014 Chrysler convertible Limited w 3.6 engine.

Why in bloody hell can't I drain the radiator without disassembling the ENTIRE FRONT END?

I can't believe what I'm seeing here - any quick tips? I just want to replace the dam thermostat for $10 ..... apparently Chrysler wants me to spend $100 to pay somebody else.

Thank you

Chris

PS I've seen plenty of Youtube videos while the whole front end is off the vehicle - and it's quite laughable these guys make zero comments of the situation. As if this is normal to spend 3 hours to do what once only required a few minutes on virtually any vehicle in the country. Did Chrysler really do this to us?
