Default Crank but no turn over after Engine Cleaning

Ok.

The engine compartment was a mess. I like my stuff nice and tidy so that I can spot leaks right away. I sprayed the engine down and hit it with a hard bristol brush and wiped clean wiff a rag then rinse the entire engine off. I screwed up though and did not cover up the distributor ... actually forgot that this car was old enough to have a cap. I thought it was wet, but its been a full day and it wont go over.

Anyone have this problem before ?
