Default Dumb ? - please help

Hi, my stepbrother left his 2002 Chrysler Sebring with me for 6 months while on deplyment and I have no use for it. We stored it in a barn and I assume I should disconnect the battery so it does not lose charge. I could not find the battery! So, please, where is the battery and how would I dsconnect safely?

Thanks, Izzy

It should be in the drivers side wheel well. You'll need to remove the front wheel, and remove the wheel well and you'll find it.

Thank you for the response. I do notice cables running from that direction up above to where I can access them. Do you know if I could just remove the (-) cable there or do I need to go directly to the battery? Thanks again, I

You can disconnect the (+) and (-) wires from the engine compartment, they should be clearly marked. but it would be best to disconnect at the battery.
